SULLIVAN WITHDRAWS SUIT FOLLOWING LAMPY APOLOGY

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Following a public apology by President W. Russell Bowie, Jr. '41, Mickey Sullivan yesterday declared he would not follow through his intended $100,000 suit for "libelous untruths" in the last issue of the Lampoon.

Bowie's apology appeared in Wednesday's CRIMSON: "I guess we went one step too far this time in getting publicity. We're hackers, and we might as well face the facts right now, hard though they may be."

In announcing his decision not to sue the Funnymen, Mickey said that an examination of the 'Poon's bank account revealed a balance of $.27, and that the Mount Auburn Street monstrosity wasn't worth the expense of a legal battle.
