Effect on Colleges Studied For Forming New Policies

Approximately 500 undergraduates who were 21 on or before July first must hand in selective questionnaires to University 4 by Friday at the latest as part of a national survey by the Washington headquarters to determine the effect of the draft on American colleges and universities.

After the results have been tabulated here to determine the status of the various students, they will be passed on to the government. The University will also check to see that the answers agree with the information obtained on the study card the first of the year.

Data secured from the survey will also be used by the Senate Military Affairs Committee, the American Council on Education, and the Selective Service system. The Congressional Committee will soon have under consideration Senate Resolution 1504, providing for postponement of induction for students during the academic year in which they receive their call.
