NAVY LEARNS LOSS IN FIRE

4 Communications Students Die at Grove Conflagration

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Four student officers of the Naval Training School lost their lives in the Cocoanut Grove disaster, it was revealed yesterday. Although three of the deaths were known several weeks ago and the body of the fourth officer was found last week, the list had not hitherto been published. Announced through Washington, the names could not be released until next of kin had been informed.

The four men who died were all communications students, and all were in their last two months of Harvard training. They were: Eus. John N. Albritton, Eus. John B. Bauer, Lt. John H. Noyos, and Lt. (jg) Kenneth D. Simpson.

Bauer Long Missing

All except Bauer were identified immediately after the fire. He was found missing at the first muster Monday morning following the disaster, and remained unaccounted for until the end of last week, when his body was found in a Boston mortuary.

Several other S-O's were among the many service men trapped in the fire and injured, but all of these are out of danger and improving satisfactorily.
