'45 HOCKEY TEAM DOWNS ST. MARK'S

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Three games in four days hold no terrors for Coach John Chase's Yardling sextet. Apparently undaunted by the heavy schedule, the '45 outfit turned in its ninth consecutive win Saturday afternoon with a snappy 2 to 0 shutout over St. Mark's at Southboro.

Both Crimson goals came unassisted. The first was off Art Lee's stick after a goalmouth scrimmage early in the second period, and the second was tallied by Bill Hamlen in the final stanza.

A bandbox outdoor rink handicapped both teams and helped prevent any further scorng. Goalie Jim Summers had little trouble in chalking up his third shutout of the season, just three days after he had blanked the Milton aggregation.
