Intensive Hungarian Added To List of Wartime Courses

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

In addition to Japanese, Chinese, and Russian, Harvard now offers an intensive course in Hungarian, to be given by the Department of Comparative Philology this fall, with the support of the American Council of Learned Societies.

The course, Comparative Philology 191, includes an intensive survey of Hungarian grammar and supplementary practice in reading, writing, and speaking. One full course credit will be given for the work, which will be completed in the first half-year. Students who intend to enter the course must consult Joshua Whatmough, professor of Comparative Philology.
