Radcliffe Teas Open At PBH Despite Rain

Freshmen and new veterans braved the bepuddled Yard while 'Cliffedwellers splashed across the Common yesterday afternoon to keep dates for the first of the Brooks House series of alphabetical Teas, which will continue on Wednesday and Friday afternoons.

Phillips Brooks House began its membership competition last night at a meeting where Ray Goldberg '48, president, and members of the PBH Cabinet explained to nearly 50 prospective candidates the functions of the social organization. Each committee chairman told the assembly of the work carried on by his group and the requirements for membership.

Yesterday's Harvard-Radcliffe Tea was attended by new men whose last initial was A through G. Using the alphabetical system of dividing men for the remaining Teas, Brooks House will welcome the H through M quota on Wednesday afternoon and the N through Z quota on Friday afternoon. Radcliffe is invited to both occasions, which will begin at 3:30 and end at 5:30 o'clock.
