Lacrossemen Thwart Andover Varsity, 7-5

Behind 4 to 1 at the half, the lacrosse team rallied to score five times in quick succession in the third quarter, added another in the last frame, and salvaged its second win of the season by the score of 7 to 5 against a fast Andover team at Andover yesterday.

Completely stalled in the first two periods more by their own sloppy passing and stick-handling than by Andover tactics, the lacrossemen repeatedly lost men on penalties for using unorthodox methods in trying to stop the prep school boy's attack. In the third quarter when they saw themselves in danger of losing the game, the Crimson team took the offensive and steadily outplayed the Blue and White.

Bob Richards led the Crimson attack with three goals while Bill Potter contributed two; Ned Dewey and Zeke Arias netted one each. New goalie Bill Ennis played a sparkling game in the cage in the absence of Russ Schubert, the team's regular goal tender, who was injured in the Dartmouth game.
