Basketball Team Meets Eagles Tonight in I.A.B.

Center Dick Lionette will probably not be able to play tonight when the varsity basketball team meets Boston College in the Blockhouse at 8:30 p.m. Lionette is suffering from a bruised foot, and had trouble walking yesterday.

Alan Switzer, a six foot three junior, will start instead of Lionette. Two inches shorter than the injured sophomore he replaces, Switzer played considerably for the first time this year in the Navy game last week, and did an excellent job on rebounds. Except for Switzer, the lineup will be the same as the one that faced Navy.

Boston College is one of the strongest teams in the East. Crimson coach Norm Shepard believes that it is probably better than Holy Cross, which beat his squad 72 to 37. Undefeated in all its four games this year, B.C. is an especially exciting team to watch because of its able ball-handling.

The B.C. quintet has been particularly strong this year in working the fast break. And a running game is the kind the Crimson has trouble coping with; Shepard will try to overcome it by using the same thing himself.

Freshman coach Floyd-Wilson will keep the same lineup against B.C. that he has used all year: Ed Condon and Captain Bill Dennis at guard, Ed Krinsky and Dan Steiner at forward, and Ed Blodnick at center. The visiting yearlings, a very strong squad, are led by six foot seven Tony Daukas at center. Freshman game is 6:30 p.m. HARVARD  B.C.
