Advocate's Book Sales Under Par

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Sales of the Advocate Anthology are "not as high as we thought they would be," Joel Satzman, vice-president of Twayne Publishing Company which released the book said last night.

Although he had no exact figures, Satzman felt that sales "should be higher." At present, they have been confined to the Boston area, New Haven, and New York City, with several copies being sold on the West Coast and none in any other areas.

"I can't understand it," said Satzman. "Reviews in the New York Times and Herald Tribune, as well as the Chicago Tribune, have been extremely laudatory."

He added that the firm had no plans for any promotion campaigns yet, but would wait until the anthology had been out longer. It was published at the beginning of January.
