Freshmen Engage Nobles Six Today In Game at Arena

Crimson goalie George Anderson will keep a sharp eye on his former teammate, Captain Johnny Craig, when the freshman hockey team meets Noble and Greenough at 4 p.m. today in the Arena. Craig is a polished player and the Blue and White's high scorer.

Tony Patton and Jeff Coolidge will start in the defense for the home team. The first line is undecided, as either Dick Clasby or Jim Colt may center a line with Captain Norm Wood and Jeb Bray on the wings.

Craig scored both Nobles' goals in their 5 to 2 loss to Exeter and also two when the Blue and White downed Groton, 2 to 1. Besides Craig, Noble has a strong goalie in Marty Mullin, who kicked out 25 shots in the Nobles-Belmont Hill game. This achievement is rated in the league as one of the best goalie performances of the year.

The Yardlings skate into the game favored, since they downed Exeter, 4 to 2, Saturday. Both teams lost to Belmont Hill, Nobles 6 to 2 and the freshmen 5 to 4.
