Although Yale holds undisputed possession of first place in the Ivy League football race, it must share top honors with third place Harvard in the statistics department. By virtue of its sound victory over Columbia last Saturday the Crimson eleven regained the offensive leadership among Ivy teams.
The varsity attack has ground out 324.7 yards a game to hold a 40-yard advantage over the second place Elis. Defensively Yale is first, having yielded only 181 yards a game, to 190.7 for the Crimson.
Columbia's Claude Benham placed second to Dartmouth's Bill Beagle in total offense.
