Lowell Creates Fund For House Scholars

Lowell Housemaster Elliott Perkins '23 announced the establishment of a unique House scholarship last night at the dinner celebrating Lowell's twenty-fifth anniversary.

Set up by the Lowell men of 1950-52, the scholarship fund commemorates four Korean casualties from the class of 1951 and Lowell House. The awards will eventually consist of the interest from a $15,000 scholarship fund and a book prize for selected juniors in the House.

Perkins concluded, "I submit that when a group of men wishing to found a living memorial...select a House as their vehicle, 25 years of building have not gone for nothing."
