Law School at Yale Will Revise Courses

Yale's Law School will make major changes in its curriculum starting next September, Eugene V. Rastow, Dean of the School, announced yesterday.

A $1,600,000 grant from the Ford Foundation will make possible the revision, Rastow said. He described the proposed new curriculum as "unique in the law school world."

The chief new procedure will be to "require all students to have more intensive training in independent legal research and in legal writing," according to Rastow. An optional four-year program for law teachers and specialists is also included in the plan.
