Football coach Lloyd Jordan said Tuesday that the University should admit "some hard-nosed kids" to improve Crimson football teams.

Speaking at the annual football banquet of the Harvard Club of Boston, he asserted that the University could admit better football players "without compromising scholastic standards."

"The football team is the window dressing for what Harvard is aiming at--to be tops in the educational field," Jordan claimed. He suggested that the University should plan for a better football team along with planning for the "Program for Harvard College."
