Lowell House voted last week to participate in the Harvard Council for Undergraduate Affairs. The balloting was made necessary by the wording of the referendum passed in Lowell last spring to withdraw the House from the old Student Council.
As a result of the 157 to 113 vote, Lowell's recently selected delegates will participate in tonight's HCUA election despite a public statement by Alan E. Mack '62, publicity director for the Lowell House Committee, that 44 of the votes cast were "obviously' fradulent.
Explaining his position on the vote, Mack stated, "Since I opposed withdrawing last spring, I naturally oppose returning now."
Lowell House voted last spring to withdraw from the Student Council and "to reconsider" the move after the group was reorganized.
