Three of Harvard's Nobel laureatos have endorsed the Johnson-Humphrey ticket.

Konrad E. Bloch, Higgins Professor of Biochemistry, Edward M. Purcell, professor of Physics, and James D. Watson, professor of Biology joined 30 other American Nobel Prize recipients in signing the statement.

"We believe that the world already has confidence in the President's leadership of the United States," they declared. "And we salute his choice of Hubert Humphrey, a proven champion of reason and vision in world affairs, as his Vice-Presidential candidate."

The endorsement was issued by Edward L. Tatum of the Rockefeller Institute, winner of the Nobel Prize in Medicine and Physiology in 1953. Copies were mailed to approximately 50 living American recipients for signature.
