Lacrosse Team Beats Tufts, 7-3

The Crimson lacrosse team warmed up for its big game with Princeton Saturday by rolling to a 7-3 win over Tufts yesterday.

Captain Peter Wood was out of action with a charley horse and the substitutes played most of the fourth quarter, but it didn't matter. The win was easy.

Sophomore Jan Bollinger, filling in for Wood on the first midfield, whipped in the first goal on a pass from Tink Gunnoe at 7:38. Tufts tied it 20 seconds later but Ted Leary's goal at 9:07 put Harvard ahead to stay.

Gunnoe, Leary, and Bollinger had two goals to pace the Crimson attack: Dick Ames had the seventh goal and also picked up two assists.
