The American Heart Association's 1965 Howard W. Blakeslee Award was presented Wednesday to Dr. Francis D. Moore, Moseley Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School. The award, which carries $500 honorarium, is given for distinguished reporting in the cardio-vascular field.
Dr. Moore, surgeon-in-chief of the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital, was honored for his book Give and Take, a progress report on developments in tissue transplantation.
The Blakeslee award bears the name a former science editor of the Associated Press.
