Lacrosse Team Will Meet Penn

The Harvard lacrosse team meets Pennsylvania in Philadelphia today in a game that will probably determine last place in the Ivy League.

Harvard, which is shooting at an overall .500 mark, doesn't have a bad team; it's just that most of the other Ivy teams have improved enough to be considered national powers.

The Quakers, despite 16 returning lettermen, haven't been able to win an Ivy game. They've lost to powerful Yale and a solid Brown team.

Both Harvard and Penn have good defenses. Penn held title-contender Yale to only five goals, and the Crimson hasn't let an opposing team reach double figures this year. The team which can muster a reasonable offense should win.

Harvard's offense, dormant all year, showed signs of life in the second half of the M.I.T. game. Despite Penn's home-field advantage, the Quakers' poor offense should probably make Harvard a one-goal favorite.
