Cambridge has become the watering hole for hundreds of reporters thirsting after the spirits of a real Harvard-Yale game.
Already Harvard has issued a staggering 400 press tickets to newspapers from all over the East Coast and the press corps covering The Game will be the largest in Ivy League history.
Having filled the press box, the Harvard Sports Information Office started seating the visiting dignitaries on the press box roof until the Building and Grounds department forced it to stop for safety reasons.
Women's Wear Daily
Reporters have come from publications ranging from the New York Times to the Women's Wear Daily. Represented will be 46 dailies, three magazines--Time, Newsweek, and Sports Illustrated -- all three major television networks (ABC, CBS, NBC), six radio stations, and the United Airlines magazine.
This is the first time in memory that the New York Times has sent two reporters to The Game.
Although the television networks will be taping the game, there will be no live telecasts this Saturday.
