Lloyd H. Marlowe, 25, a research fellow in psychology at Harvard, was killed Saturday afternoon when he fell from the platform at the Harvard Square MBTA station under the wheels of an approaching train.

Marlowe was engaged in an independent study of the use of computers in psychological research, a program headed by Richard J. Herrnstein, professor of Psychology.

The two-car train coming from Ashmont was pulling into the station when the incident occurred. Power was shut down from 4:50 to 5:16 p.m. while the Cambridge Fire Dept. and Rescue Squad removed the body.

Marlowe's body will be transferred to Phoenix, Arizona for burial. He received his BS degree from Arizona State and his Ph.D from Brown.
