The freshman cross-country squad warmed up for their crucial meet with Cornell on Saturday by shutting out Andover Academy yesterday. 15-50. Harvard took the first 11 places in recording its seventh victory without a defeat.

Coach Pappy Hunt considered the meet to be little more than a speed workout. "I told the boys to blast out the first two miles and then ease up." he said.

Six Harvard runners tied for first place. John Quirk. Tom New. Marshall Jones, George Barker. Mark Connolly. and Rick Engelbrecht each finished at 12:42. The time was only 14 seconds off the record for the 2,5 mile course, despite the orders to take it easy towards the finish. Tied for seventh at 13:40 were Jeff Brokaw. Pete Kernahan. Bob Collazo, Bob Clayton, and Frank Prior.
