Airline schedules at Logan International Airport have returned to near normal as most Boston air traffic controllers appeared for work today.
A Boston Federal Aviation Administration official, said that "air traffic at Logan is proceding very well today." He added that "the absentee rate for Boston air controllers is below normal."
The only problems have been with delays of flights to New York where many air traffic controllers are still staying away from work.
The Federal government has obtained a temporary restraining order directing the Professional Air Traffic Controllers Organization (PATCO) to withdraw any support from the widespread walkout.
PATCO insists that the absenteeism is the result of illness and fatigue rather than an organized slowdown.
Except for minor delays air traffic in Boston is expected to be normal over the Easter weekend.
