Don Juan in Hell. Without benefit of costumes, scenery or props this revival of the last long act of George Bernard Shaw's "Man and Superman" might be the season's most brilliant production. Coach Restic hopes Dartmouth will go to "Hell" this weekend, so why not join them.

Maureen Stapleton livens up the tryouts of Paul Zindel's play. Although pleasant, the steady drip, drip, drip of situation comedy makes these secret affairs less than wild.

Company. Stephen Sondheim's brilliant, sophisticated musical at a Framingham dinner theater. Although it could be disaster, it might just be suitable to see the "Ladies Who Lunch" with the suburbanites who dine.

Of Mice and Men Director Ed Zwick has decided that John Steinbeck's classic Thirties drama must be contemporary. Worth a look, but if the cast hasn't improved any don't feel obliged to stay.

Proposition This Boston-born improvisational troupe has enjoyed a long success not only here but in the New York big-time. It is at least as essential as the Peabody's glass flowers, and probably more interesting.
