The Radcliffe Junior varsity tennis squad outgunned the Boston University varsity 4-1 yesterday on the Palmer Dixon Courts.
The match, which was held indoors due to the periods of heavy showers during the afternoon, was played under a shortened scoring system known as the intercollegiate set. Under these rules, the first player to win 12 games is the victor.
Radcliffe's Ingred Sarapuu posted a victory in the number one sport over the Terrier's top dog Honey Forelander, by a sweet 12-7 margin.
Ann Kaufman sealed the demise of B.U.'s Denise Desmit 12-8 in the number three match, while Janet Clark took Sarah Betts 12-4 for Radcliffe's third singles victory.
Jill Robertson, playing at number two, was the only Radcliffe loser, as she was hounded by Laura Wolfe into a 12-7 defeat.
Kaufman teamed up with Rhonda Williams for the only doubles match of the shortened afternoon and responded by bombing Ann Bommer and Desmitt 12-4.
