Parking Violations

By Mark D. Stegall

The enforcement of University parking rules, which has already prompted threats from angry motorists, will be increased next week, the chief of the Harvard Police said Tuesday.

David L. Gorski said that the department's plan to crack down on parking violators that was started early in the fall will be intensified next week when new no-parking signs are erected.

Sgt. John M. Francis said Tuesday that the department currently tickets 100 cars and tows 30 cars per day on the average, but this may increase with the new enforcement.
