Paton Lectures

By Pamela R. Saunders

Paton spoke on the continual erosion of civil liberties and human rights in South Africa, specifically criticizing the nation's repressive police tactics.

"It is ironic that this government should be so sensitive to any suggestion that its regime is in any way related to that of the Nazis," Paton said.
