7 Jurors Chosen In Puopolo Trial

By James M. Bogin

Jury selection continued for the second day yesterday in the trial of three men accused of the stabbing murder of Andrew P. Puopolo '77 in a Combat Zone incident last November.

Seven additional jurors were selected yesterday, bringing the total to 11 of the 16 needed for the panel.

The two sides have chosen five women and six men as jurors so far, including one black person.

In the selection process the prosecution challenged and excused all potential blacks jurors except two, Suffolk Superior Court Judge James C. Roy dismissed another. The three defendants in the case are black.

Roy will sequester the jury for the duration of the trial, which will probably begin Friday.
