Harvard's women's lacrosse team garnered a dramatic 9-7 win over Yale yesterday in New Haven.
Going into the game, the Crimson was looking to dominate its arch-rival down south, only to find the Bulldogs rarin' for an upset. At halftime, Yale was up 4-3.
In the second half, however, the Crimson came back with a vengeance. Behind the scoring and passing of senior midfielder Sara Downing (four goals, one assist for the game) and the scoring of junior mid-fielder Genevieve Chelius (two goals for the game) the Crimson battled back.
Harvard evened the score at four, outscoring Yale 5-2 the rest of the way.
Harvard will next be in action Saturday afternoon at Loyola.
The Crimson is 6-1 overall and 2-1 in Ivy league play this season.
