HUPD Chief Says Harvard Yard Encampment is Peaceful, Defends Students’ Right to Protest
A large number of gunmen were present yesterday at the shoot which decided the series of matches that the Shooting Club has been holding during the past three weeks. The leading scores made to-day were as follows:
Match A. Palmer, 8; Bradley, 8; Slocum, 8; Mead, 10; Clyde, 9.
Match B. F. B. Austin, 8; Greene, 5; Palmer, 8; Bradley, 5; Frederick-son, 5; W. L. Allen, 8; Slocum, 6.
Match C. F. B. Austin, 7; Palmer, 7; Bradley, 8; W. L. Allen, 9; Slocum, 7; Mead, 8.
Winners in matchers were:
Match A. (First prize; winners handicapped 2 birds). 1st, Palmer, *16; 2nd, F. B. Austin, *15.
Match B. (First prize, winners barred.) 1st, Mead, 12; 2nd, Pierce, 10.
Match C. (Open to all.) 1st, F. B. Austin, 17; 2nd, Slocum, Allen and Mead, 16. (Tie for second place not yet decided.)
