The Freshman Tug-of-War.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The captain of the freshman tug-of-war has gone to work in earnest, and the candidates are now practising every afternoon in the gymnasium. There are a number of promising men trying for the various positions, and there is no reason why '89, by hard and faithful work should not turn out a good team. It is unfortunate for the team that Captain Storrow has forbidden the candidates for the crew to try for the tug-of-war, since by this many good men have been prevented from trying.

In spite of this, and also of the fact that every freshman team is somewhat hindered by the lack of experience, '89 ought to be inspired by the example of her predecessor, and if it is possible, a good team should represent the class in the winter meetings.
