The three mile straight away in eight between Bowdoin and Cornell will be rowed at Ithaca June 18, the day before class day. Both crews are working hard and everything bids fair to a good race. The Bowdoin crew will train on the course for at least ten days before the race to get used to the course and surroundings. Of the Bowdoin crew little is known, but in previous years she has given Cornell her best races, so there is little doubt that she will fall short this year. The exact position of the course has not yet been decided upon, but will either be on the east side where an observation train will be run, or on the west side where there is sufficient room for spectators.
