Harvard Cricket Eleven.

The candidates for the cricket eleven met yesterday evening in the trophy room of the gymnasium. Brown, Balch and Frost of last year's team have left college; nearly all the other old men were present.

As yet nothing definite has been decided. The men will probably be divided into squads, and until the season opens these squads will use the cage in the Hemenway Gymnasium three times a week.

The question of hiring a trainer was talked over, and it is more than likely that one will soon be engaged to take charge of the team for at least a part of the season.

A schedule of games has been arranged but it will not be made public until approved by the Athletic Committee. The championship games will be played here in Cambridge, and also the one with Lowell.

It is hoped that arrangements may be made to have a portion of one of the fields turfed over.

The eleven is in a flourishing condition, and the prospects for a successful season are very good. There are, however, some good men's places to fill, and all who can play cricket are urged to hand in their names as soon as possible, as the eleven will go into training at once.
