The third and last of the Winter Meetings and second "ladies day" will begin at half-past two this afternoon and the doors will be open an hour earlier. The following is the order of events:
Fence Vault, Fencing (semi-final bouts), Horizontal Bar, Broadsword (trial bouts), Tumbling, Fencing, (final bout), and Running High Jump. The handicaps in the last event, with 3 in. limit, are: Sherwin, 3 in.; Sheldon, 3 in.; Heywood, 2 in.; Morse, 2 in.; Fearing, scratch; Green, 2 in.; Bloss, 2 in.; Chaney, 3 in.
In the preliminary fencing bouts, Richardson defeated Hancock, 5 to 4; DeLong beat Barney, 5 to 2; Oliver beat Borden, 5 to 3; Stone beat Caswell, 5 to 4. In the semi-finals this afternoon, Richardson will fence with DeLong, and Oliver with Stone.
