Musical Club Concert.

As before announced, the annual fall concert of the Harvard musical clubs will be given in Sanders Theatre on Friday evening of this week. The concert this year promises to be unusually good. The clubs have worked hard, and with most gratifying results. A number of new songs have been learned by the Glee Club, including one by Mr. Thayer and one by Mr. Osgood. Louis Thompson has written a humorous song that will be sung on the trip. The club is fortunate this year in having an unusually good first tenor. The Mandolin and Banjo Clubs have learned some new pieces, and are playing in good form. The Pierian, too, is doing well, as this year it has an abundance of good strings, and the wind instruments are played mostly by last year's men.

These concerts are the only ones that give the clubs financial help, and of course in the beginning of the year and before the Christmas trip such help is very necessary. Tickets may be had at Thurston's and their sale is unrestricted.
