Student Parade.

Dean Briggs and Professor Shaler met the officers of the different classes Wednesday evening to consider having a student parade in connection with the parade to celebrate thef fiftieth anniversary of the incorporation of Cambridge as a city, on June 3. All were in favor of holding such a parade, considering that the University should be represented in the celebration; but it was decidd to refer the matter to the students. An allowance will have to be made in the schedule for the final examinations, and if this is granted by the faculty the question of having a parade will be decided by the students.

If the Cambridge departments of the University should decide to take part, it is probable that the Boston departments would also join, and a large proportion of the 3,600 men now members of the University would parade. The men would probably march by classes, and each class might be dressed in cap and gown of its class colors. As the parade is to be held in the day time there would be no chance to use the transparencies which usually figure in student parades, but banners and mottoes could take their place.
