College Nine Defeats 1900.

The College nine defeated the Freshmen on Soldiers Field yesterday afternoon 12 to 5 in a seven inning game.

McCornick pitched very poorly for the Freshmen, giving eleven bases on balls in the five innings he pitched. Foster, who pitched the last two innings did fairly well. The Freshmen made more hits and fewer errors than their opponents, but lost the game through McCornick's wildness and their poor base-running.
