HUPD Chief Says Harvard Yard Encampment is Peaceful, Defends Students’ Right to Protest
The Longwood Cricket Club will hold an open tennis tournament, singles, on its grounds, beginning Monday, June 16, 1890. Matches will be the best two out of three sets in the trial matches, with advantage games only in the odd or deciding set. In the finals, best three out of five sets will be played, with advantage games throughout. The rules of the U. S. N. L. T. A. shall govern all play; other questions shall be decided by the committee. Wright and Ditson championship balls will be used. Play will begin at 2 o'clock each day. All entries, must be received on or before Saturday, June 14, and should be addressed to Lott Mansfield, Sec'y, 280 Dartmouth street, Boston. Each entry must be accompanied by a fee of $2.00.
