At a meeting of the University Debating Club yesterday afternoon the following officers were elected for the half-year: President, R. C. Bruce '02; vice-president, H. F. Wolff 3L.; secretary, H. B. Kirtland 2L.; treasurer, J. W. Scott '04.
A committee was appointed to arrange for giving John D. Long medals to all previous University debaters, with the understanding that the club shall bear half the cost of each medal, and the debater the other half. It was also decided to keep, for use in coaching new men, a written record of the experiences and suggestions of the members and coaches of future University debating teams.
Arrangements are to be made if possible to secure one room in the Union for the sole use of the debating clubs.
