All the crews were out again on the water yesterday afternoon. The Newell crews on the whole seem more advanced than the Weld, although the latter have improved rapidly since going on the river. The Newell men seem to have less leg drive but they make up for this by having better control of their slides. They do not rush so badly and keep their boats steadier. The blade work, naturally is still rather rough in all the crews.

The Newell Freshmen are large, and should turn out well after a little more experience. They are rather short forward, lack snap, and slump at the finish of the stroke. The Weld Freshmen, though smaller than the Newell, have had more experience. At present they do not row well together, and as a result their boat rolls badly. They have a tendency to rush their slides and hang at the full reach.

E. C. Storrow '89 was at the University boat-house yesterday afternoon watching the work of the crews. He also coached the 1902 Newell crew from the coxswain's seat.

There have been many changes in the make-up of the different crews and the orders of the upperclass boats are now as follows:
