The Whist Club has this year organized with about twenty-five members, which is an increase in number over that of last year. In addition to the regular weekly meetings the Club has played several whist clubs in the vicinity of Cambridge in the way of practice for the final game of the season with Yale.

The date for the Yale game has been fixed for the last week in March at New Haven. In this game the Narragansett system has been adopted, which, among other things, provides for eight men on a team.

The nearest important event of the club will be the annual duplicate whist tournament to be held during the latter part of this month. Cups will be given to each member of the winning pair. The tournament is open to all members of the University on payment of the entry fee of fifty cents. Blue-books for registration may be found at places to be announced this week.

The officers of the Whist Club are: President, H. Rawson '01; secretary, H. H. Fox '00; treasurer, A. R. Campbell 1L.; captain, N. S. Kelly 2L.
