At a meeting of the Faculty last week, it was voted, on recommendation of the Department of English, that honorable mention in English composition should be awarded for grade A or B in two courses and a half in English composition, not counting English A. This change in the rules was made because since English 5 has been divided into two half courses, given in alternate years, it is no longer possible to take more than two and a half courses of English composition without taking courses in argumentative composition.
