At Fitchburg Saturday afternoon the Freshman lacrosse team was defeated by the Fitchburg Athletic Association by the score of 3 to 2. Fitchburg's three goals were scored in the first five minutes of play with almost no opposition by the Freshman defense. During the remainder of the game the Freshmen completely outplayed their opponents both in passing and stick work but were unable to score more than two goals, one in the second and one in the third of the four 15-minute quarters. The Fitchburg team used the Canadian style of play, making long throws, with no attempt at accurate passing. Barber, who scored both goals, and Cox and Vance played the best game for the Freshmen.
