HUPD Chief Says Harvard Yard Encampment is Peaceful, Defends Students’ Right to Protest
Dr. T. A. Jaggar, Jr., and Professor J. B. Woodworth, with Professor D. W. Johnson of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, will lead the annual intercollegiate geological excursion to Nantasket on Saturday. The coastal physiography of Boston harbor, including the lava flows and conglomerates of Nantasket, will be the features of special interest. The excursion will leave the South station at 8.43 Saturday morning, and will return by boat from Nantasket at 3.40 in the afternoon.
A meeting of all men wishing to go on this excursion will be held Friday evening in Room 11 of the Engineering Building of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Trinity place. At this meeting a brief account will be given of the objects of interest to be visited. The excursion will be open to all members of New England colleges interested in geology. Men desiring to go should send their names to Professor T. A. Jaggar, Jr., 17 Brewster street, Cambridge.
