Fall Rowing Starts at 4

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

At a meeting of members of the University rowing squad yesterday Captain Severance announced his plans for the work of the fall, which will follow the same lines as last year. The same men will report this afternoon at 4 o'clock, and will be divided into three crews. Training will begin in about a week, and rowing will be continued as long as practicable, ending in a four-mile race between the three eights.

There will be no regular Freshman rowing this fall, but it is hoped that as many Freshmen as possible will participate in dormitory rowing, which will begin the later part of this week. The dormitory races will be held towards the end of October, and at that time men will be selected for the graded crews race, to be rowed over the one and seven-eighths mile course in the basin about the middle of November. The usual practice of picking men from the graded crews for the University squad next spring will be followed.
