The choice of Captain Little's successor bears especial significance in view of the number of points in both the intercollegiate and Yale meets which will be lost by graduation. Without this handicap he will have a difficult standard to maintain, for under Captain Little's leadership a team was developed which defeated Yale after losing several sure points through illness and accident.

The prospects for the dual meet are neither bright nor sombre, for of this year's point winners, both teams will have left men potentially capable of winning 31 1-2 points. Yale, however, has a victorious freshman team from which to draw. For the intercollegiate meet the outlook is less favorable, as 9 1-2 points of 13 1-2 will be lost. Confronted with the difficult task of developing a winning team, Captain Foster has the confidence of the undergraduates in his ability to do so in so far as it lies in a captain's power.
