Fencing Team Defeated West Point

The University fencing team defeated West Point in the dual meet held at West Point, N. Y., Saturday afternoon, by a score of 6 bouts to 3. Captain J. A. MacLaughlin '11, did the best fencing of the meet, winning all his bouts, although the one against Raynor was so closely contested that it called for an extra period. Hoisington excelled for the Cadets, winning two of his bouts.

The summary:

First Round.--Hoisington, Army, defeated W. IIunt '11; G. B. Wilbur '12 defeated Raynor, Army; J. A. MacLaughlin '11 defeated Wilbur, Army.

Second Round.--Hoisington, Army, defeated G. B. Wilbur '12; J. A. MacLaughlin '11 defeated Raynor, Army; W. Hunt '11 defeated Wilbur, Army.

Third Round.--J. A. MacLaughlin '11 defeated Hoisington, Army; W. Hunt '11 defeated Raynor, Army; Wilbur, Army, defeated J. M. Moore '11.
