NOBLE LECTURE TONIGHT

By Rev. J. D. Figgis on "Civilization at the Cross-Roads" at 8.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Rev. John Neville Figgis, Litt.D., of Mirfield, England, Honorary Fellow of St. Catherine's College, Cambridge, will give the first of his series of lectures under the William Belden Noble Foundation, on "Civilization at the Cross-Roads," in Fogg Lecture Room this evening at 8 o'clock. The subject of tonight's lecture will be "The Intellectual Chaos."

The endowment constituting the Noble Foundation was given in memory of William of Belden Noble '85, for the continuation of his mission in life; the presentation of the personality of Jesus as unfolded in His life and in the growth of the Christian Church.

Previous to this series, Theodore Roosevelt '80 delivered a lecture on "Applied Ethics" in December. These two are the only speakers under the Foundation this year. Next year the lecture will be given by Sir Wilfred Thomason Grenfell, M.D., of Newfoundland.

The dates and titles of the remaining lectures in the current series are as follows:

March 9.--The Moral Crisis.

March 14.--The Challenge of the Cross.

March 16.--The Christian Fact.

The lectures will be open to members of the University only.
