David A. Wells Prize Awarded

The David A Wells Prize for 1913-14 was awarded to Eliot Jones, A.M. '08, Instructor in Economics in the University, for his dissertation on "The Investigation of the Anthracite Coal Industry." The prize consists of $500, to be awarded to the author of the best thesis, embodying the results of original investigation, on a subject within the field of Economics. Competition is open to members of the Senior class in Harvard College and also to any graduate of any department of the University of not more than three year's standing.
