Fall practice for the University baseball team will begin Wednesday at 3 o'clock, at which-time candidates are to report at the Locker Building dressed to play. Freshmen as well as men from the three upper classes are urged to take advantage of this opportunity to become familiar with Coach Sexton's methods. The old Freshman diamond has been moved to a better adapted part of the field, so that two first class diamonds will henceforth be available.
With the problem of developing a new battery confronting him and the likelihood of other shifts in the line-up, Coach Sexton is anxious to have a large squad report for this preliminary training. Cuts in the squad will be made from time to time and this fall work will have considerable bearing on the makeup of the squad in the spring. Practice will be continued as long as the weather permits.
